The Pecan Orchard

The nut farm

We lovingly referred to this property as “The Nut Farm” when we were in negotiations to purchase it. The farm came with 95 pecan trees covering about 4 acres. We are working on getting the trees to be more productive. 2020 is the year to figure out what type of trees we have. The orchard will be thinned in 2021 to enable the remaining trees to continue to grow and flourish.

Will we have nuts for sale? I hope so. One day.
